The Information Technology department at Cellular South is organized into two main divisions, Development and Infrastructure.
Our Development professionals are responsible for:
- Managing or participating in development project planning
- Translating business requirements into technical requirements
- Developing code for new software applications (Java/J2EE)
- Supporting and troubleshooting existing applications
Our Infrastructure professionals are responsible for duties including:
- Providing administration of existing systems (UNIX, Windows), and LAN/WAN hardware (Cisco Routers/Switches), as well as implementing and administering new systems as upgrades occur
- Designing and architecting databases (Oracle, SQL)
- Administering Firewalls, Voice Over IP (VoIP), Wireless Networks, and Load Balancers
