Cellular South renovates Westwood Plaza store, adds new store at Tillman’s Corner
Mobile, AL, February 27, 2004 – Cellular South, one of the nation’s largest privately held wireless companies, is expanding its retail presence in the Mobile Metro area with the newly renovated Westwood Plaza store and the construction of a new store at Tillman’s Corner. Both locations feature a contemporary design and shopper-friendly layout. Grand openings will be held at both Westwood Plaza and Tillman’s Corner. Each location will feature door prizes, special phone offers, and free activation during the grand opening events.
The Westwood Plaza location has been remodeled to feature the same design utilized in all of Cellular South’s new retail locations, including Tillman’s Corner. An open floor plan lets customers browse at their leisure, with an array of wireless products, accessories and calling plan information easily accessible. Multiple service counters and kiosk areas allow for more private consultation with sales associates.

Cellular South has recently invested $20 million to upgrade its network in Mobile and the Eastern Shore area to CDMA 1X technology and added 37 new cell sites, with 11 additional sites slated for construction by mid-year. Mobile store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All retail locations are closed on Sundays.
