New Wireless Retail Store on Poplar near Perkins Opens March 9
Memphis, Tennessee, March 8, 2004 – Cellular South, one of the nation's largest privately held wireless companies, is expanding its retail presence in Memphis with its 5th Memphis-area retail location opening at 4730 Poplar (near Poplar/Perkins intersection) on Tuesday, March 9.

Offering more than just lip service to providing a "network that works," Cellular South recently invested $38 million in a network expansion, which includes the addition of more than 100 new cell sites in its wireless markets and the extension of its CDMA 1X third generation digital wireless network to Coastal Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. The network expansion adds the option of a $49.99/month Unlimited Calling Plan for Memphis-area residents, which includes Coastal Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, through Destin and Seaside, in the local calling area.
"For $10 more per month, and just in time for Spring Break, Memphis area customers can increase their local calling area to include popular vacation destinations such as Seaside, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama," added Redmond.
Memphis store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All retail locations are closed on Sundays.
