Cellular South Releases Better Than Industry Average Churn Results

Stay up to date with the latest Cellular South press releases and news articles

JACKSON, MS, April 14, 2004 - Cellular South, one of the nation's largest privately held wireless carriers, reports a churn level of 1.7 percent for first quarter 2004, an improvement of 23 percent from its average monthly churn of 2.2 percent in first quarter 2003.

Cellular South attributes the improvement in customer retention to its intense focus on customer satisfaction, improved network quality, including $50 million in network improvements in 2003, and ensuring its customers are on calling plans that best suit their individual usage needs.

About Cellular South

The company is one of the largest privately held wireless providers in the U.S. and is licensed to provide wireless service - to a total population of more than five million people - on its network stretching from the Memphis Metropolitan Area, throughout all of Mississippi, along Coastal Alabama and the Florida Panhandle through Destin/Seaside. Cellular South offers a different kind of wireless service based on the simple premise that customers have rights, including the right to a network that works, and service and pricing that is fair and makes sense.
