Gulfport, Baldwin Co., Greene Co. and Moss Point to participate
JACKSON, Miss., May 3, 2004-- – The fourth annual Cellular South Spring Football Jamboree is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at Milner Stadium in Gulfport.
Four high schools will participate in this year's spring jamboree--a series of short practice games. The teams include the Baldwin County Tigers (Coach Jack French), Greene County Wildcats (Coach Johnny Ainsworth), Moss Point Tigers (Coach Jerry Alexander) and the host team, the Gulfport Admirals (Coach Joey D'Angelo). Both the junior varsity and varsity teams will participate. The action will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets will be available at the gate for $3.
"We will be bringing in three former state champions to play in the Jamboree with Gulfport," states Coach Joey D'Angelo of Gulfport High School, "There will be a lot of talent showcased and great competition for us. We are excited about working to get to that level."
