MEMPHIS, Tenn. - (Jan. 26, 2005) – Cell phone users can take part in tsunami relief efforts from now through February 15 by downloading wallpapers to their mobile handsets. Cellular South announced today that the company would donate all proceeds from downloads of five new specially designed Tsunami Relief wallpapers to customers' phones in an effort to help victims of last month's disaster in Asia.
Beginning immediately, Cellular South customers can download the wallpapers by selecting the "Tsunami Relief" category under their Wallpaper Universe application, the company's BREW-enabled vendor.
"Through our partnership with FunMail, we are pleased to have a way for Cellular South and our customers to lend their support to tsunami relief efforts through their mobile phones," said Hu Meena, president of Cellular South.
In addition to donations made by Cellular South, FunMail, the company who created all five Tsunami Relief wallpapers, will donate all their proceeds of the sale to tsunami relief efforts.
