Nationally Noted TV Spot Debuted During Super Bowl 2005
JACKSON, Miss. - (Feb. 25, 2005) – Cellular South's latest television commercial was recognized by the advertising industry Web site AdCritic.com this month. Ranking at (OR as high as) number five in a top 20 national listing, the wireless carrier joined such brand names as Saab, Volkswagen and Kohler, as well as Nike, whose commercials were directed by Spike Lee.
The Cellular South spot, titled "All Around Us," is running on local stations in all of the company's market areas, from the Memphis Metro Area, throughout Mississippi, and across Coastal Alabama and the Florida Panhandle through Walton County. It is part of the wireless company's 2005 branding campaign, which in addition to television includes newspaper, radio, magazine and outdoor advertising, direct mail and in-store promotions.
AdCritic.com is the online component of Creativity magazine. It features a daily listing of the newest creative television work being broadcast in the U.S. and abroad. The Top 20 is based on the number of downloads a commercial receives each day.
Showing a series of haunting, puzzling and unusual images, the commercial celebrates the array of things – from the ordinary to the extraordinary – that wireless users can respond to any time the urge strikes, thanks to Cellular South's flat-rate calling plans, long distance and data services.
