Monthly luncheon at GumTree Museum signals new opportunity for business, community leaders
TUPELO, Miss. - (April 15, 2005) – Cellular South, the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and the GumTree Museum have partnered to provide the area's business community with a monthly networking event. "Cellular South's Networking at Noon" debuts Tuesday, May 17, and will continue throughout the year on the third Tuesday of each month.
Guest speaker for the inaugural luncheon is Michael Rubenstein, executive director of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum.
"Cellular South's Networking at Noon will provide people an opportunity to develop new relationships and strengthen existing ones," said Gary Wood, the company's corporate accounts manager. "We expect this forum to serve as a catalyst for growth in the area, as leaders exchange ideas not only about their own businesses and interests, but about opportunities for the community as a whole."
The luncheon will be buffet-style, catered by Chef David Leathers of Tupelo known for his culinary talents.
Tickets are $12 and may be reserved through the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association by calling 662.841.6598. Due to limited space, early reservations are suggested.
All proceeds from ticket purchases will be set aside and donated equally at year-end to the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and the GumTree Museum.
"It is an honor to partner with Cellular South and the GumTree Museum in this wonderful series of lunchtime networking events," said Debbie Brangenberg, director of the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association.
