Monthly luncheon at GumTree Museum presents opportunities for business, community leaders

TUPELO, Miss. - (June 28, 2005) – Cellular South, partnering with the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and the GumTree Museum, continues with it's "Cellular South's Networking at Noon" Tuesday, July 19, and will continue throughout the year on the third Tuesday of each month.

Guest speaker for July's luncheon is West Point native and Army Aviation Hall of Fame inductee Randy Jones, noted for his participation in the military action depicted in the motion picture "Blackhawk Down." Over his 30-year military career, Jones served in Vietnam, Panama, Saudia Arabia and Somalia, where his heroism in the "Blackhawk" mission earned him the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart.

"Cellular South's Networking at Noon provides people an opportunity to hear great speakers each month, and to develop new relationships and strengthen existing ones in the business community," said Mark Prince, the company's area manager for Tupelo and North Mississippi. "We expect this forum to serve as a catalyst for growth in the area, as leaders exchange ideas not only about their own businesses and interests, but about opportunities for the community as a whole."

The luncheon will be buffet-style, catered by Chef David Leathers of Tupelo known for his culinary talents.

Tickets are $12 and may be reserved through the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association by calling 662.841.6598. Due to limited space, early reservations are suggested.

All proceeds from ticket purchases will be set aside and donated equally at year-end to the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and the GumTree Museum.

"It is an honor to partner with Cellular South and the GumTree Museum in this wonderful series of lunchtime networking events," said Debbie Brangenberg, director of the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association.
