More wireless options, live phone demos and shopper-friendly layout for faster service
JACKSON, Miss. - (November 10, 2005) – Cellular South, the nation’s largest privately held wireless company, will celebrate the grand opening of its newly remodeled Deville Plaza store on Tuesday, Nov. 15. An official ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 11:30 a.m. The store is located at 5260 I-55 North in the Deville Plaza Shopping Center.
The day-long grand opening will feature a variety of activities including door prizes, free flip phone grand opening special with free activation, and complimentary refreshments catered by Broadstreet Bakery. 94.7 JACK FM will broadcast live from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"Cellular South is dedicated to providing our customers the best service possible, and that service starts with a comfortable, efficient shopping experience, backed by a friendly, knowledgeable sales staff," said Shane Tuttle, area manager.
The Deville Plaza store was redesigned to create an improved retail experience for customers, with products displayed for easy accessibility and independent shopping, live phones for customers to test and explore features, self service options and a customer care center.
"Keeping wireless hassle-free includes a customer’s entire experience with us, from retail or online shopping to streamlined, uncomplicated bills that never surprise. Our new Nationwide Plan is an example of how Cellular South makes wireless simple while still providing plans that meet customers’ needs, with a combination of nationwide minutes for travel across the U.S. and unlimited minutes for use throughout Mississippi and parts of Tennessee, Alabama and Florida."
Cellular South has invested significantly in its ongoing network expansion to provide superior wireless coverage, especially in areas often ignored by national carriers. In 2005, approximately $25 million was invested to deploy more than 154 new cell sites. The company has already begun an aggressive rollout of 225 new cell sites slated for completion in 2006, an investment of more than $51 million. The company’s CDMA third generation digital wireless network provides seamless coverage with no roaming charges from the Memphis Metropolitan Area, throughout all of Mississippi, along Coastal Alabama and the Florida Panhandle to Walton County.
CDMA technology and additional cell sites further improve call quality and coverage inside office buildings and homes, network clarity, and capacity to accommodate voice and data traffic, as well as fill in coverage gaps in rural, less populated areas. Cellular South’s family of flat-rate services includes unlimited local calling, nationwide long distance, and Unlimited Nationwide Text Messaging.
Deville Plaza store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Cellular South retail locations are closed on Sundays.
