Networking @ Noon Sessions Proved Successful in 2006, Expanding for 2007
TUPELO, Miss. - (January 3, 2007) – Cellular South, the nation's largest privately held wireless provider, has continued to make community service a top priority by supporting worthwhile local charitable organizations and community events. Cellular South raised nearly $9,000 through their monthly Networking @ Noon luncheons in 2006, an overwhelming 69 percent increase from 2005, with the funds supporting the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association, the GumTree Museum of Art and the Cultural Arts Alliance of Tupelo & Lee County.
New and Improved Networking @ Noon
Based on the success and expansion of the Networking @ Noon program over the past years two years, Cellular South is excited to announce that the luncheons will be held now at a new location in 2007. Networking @ Noon luncheons will be held on a monthly basis at the BancorpSouth Conference Center in order to allow for the continuous growth of the program and increase in attendance, while maintaining the event's downtown presence.
In addition to the GumTree Museum of Art and the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association, proceeds from the 2007 Networking @ Noon sessions will also be donated to the Family Resource Center, a non-profit organization which serves 21 counties in Northeast Mississippi. The Center supports and promotes healthy families and responds to allegations of child abuse in a dedicated, child-friendly setting. Their mission is to provide programs and services to the families of the area in an effort to enhance family life and to promote a sense of safety to both child and family.
