Cellular South Announces Title Sponsorship of 36th Annual Gumtree Festival

Fourth Year of Sponsorship Celebrates Local Art, Music and Culture

TUPELO, Miss. - (January 4, 2007) – Cellular South, the nation's largest privately held wireless provider, announced today that it has signed on as the title sponsor of the 36th annual GumTree Festival for the fourth consecutive year. The weekend celebration of local art, music and culture, hosted by the GumTree Museum of Art in Tupelo, is one of Northeast Mississippi's most celebrated events.

"Cellular South is very honored to once again sponsor the 2007 Cellular South GumTree Festival," explained Mark Prince, Business Development Manager. "As a dedicated community partner, we are proud to support the Festival, which brings talented artists and great art from all over the Southeast to Northeast Mississippi. The Cellular South GumTree Festival will kick off the evening of May 11 with the Cellular South GumBall, a social event benefiting the GumTree Museum of Art. The festival will continue through May 13 with a multitude of fine art exhibits and demonstrations, children's art activities, food and entertainment, including a performance of "Beauty and the Beast," presented by the Tupelo Community Theater. Additionally, the Tupelo Running Club will host the annual 10K race.

"The Cellular South GumTree Festival is a wonderful opportunity for the Tupelo community and visitors from across Northeast Mississippi to join together in a celebration of art and culture," said Tina Lutz, Director of the GumTree Museum of Art and the Cellular South GumTree Festival. The Cellular South Gum Tree Festival will be located on the lawn of the Lee County Courthouse in historic downtown Tupelo, Mississippi. Artists and songwriters are invited to register with the GumTree Museum to display their work and participate in the art competition.
