MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 13, 2007) – Cellular South, the nation's largest privately held wireless provider, today announced that Clear Channel Radio – its three-year partner in the Mike's Bikes campaign – has been nominated for the Spirit of Giving Award by the Salvation Army. Cellular South's Mike's Bikes, an initiative to collect new bicycles for needy children in the Memphis area, was a major component of the Angel Tree Program which was spearheaded by Clear Channel Radio and Cellular South.
The Spirit of Giving Awards luncheon will be held today, April 13 at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridgelake Blvd. at 12:00 p.m. Tim Davies, Mike Fleming, Craig Robbins and Becky McAlexander will attend on behalf of Clear Channel Radio. Bruce Orpet will attend on behalf of Cellular South.
