Schedule Of Play And Draw Event Announced For 2009 Regions Morgan Keegan Championships And Cellular South Cup
Professional Women's Tennis Tournament to Be Played February 13-21, 2009 at The Racquet Club of Memphis
MEMPHIS, TN - (February 9, 2009) – The schedule of play for the first three evening sessions of the 2009 Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and the Cellular South Cup was announced today, giving tennis fans a preview of the on-court action they can expect from two of the strongest fields in the history of the tournaments.
The schedule features the first-round matches of the tournaments' top-seeded players, who will be battling for the men's and women's titles Feb. 13-22 at The Racquet Club of Memphis. Their opponents will be determined at the tournament draw event, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, in the Walnut Room at The Racquet Club of Memphis. Members of the media may pick up their tournament credentials and Media Guide at the draw event.
The schedule of play for the first three nights of the 2009 Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and Cellular South Cup is as follows:
- Session #2, Monday, Feb. 16 - 6:30 p.m. PETE SAMPRAS vs. LLEYTON HEWITT - Charity Singles Exhibition, followed by VICTORIA AZARENKA - 1st Round Singles Match
- Session #4, Tuesday, Feb. 17 - 6:30 p.m. JUAN MARTIN DEL POTRO - 1st Round Singles Match, followed by CAROLINE WOZNIACKI - 1st Round Singles Match
- Session #6, Wednesday, February 18 - 6:30 p.m. JAMES BLAKE - 1st Round Singles Match, followed by ANDY RODDICK - 1st Round Singles Match
