Cellular South Becomes Official Partner of St. Jude Classic
Official Wireless Sponsor Presents Eagles for St. Jude Program – Cellular South donates $1,000 to St. Jude's for Every Eagle Made at Tournament
Memphis, Tenn. (May 26, 2009) – Cellular South, the nation's largest privately held wireless provider, has become the newest Official Partner of the St. Jude Classic (SJC). Tournament officials announced today that the company has signed a one-year sponsorship agreement to serve as Official Wireless Provider of the St. Jude Classic. In addition to the Official Wireless Provider, Cellular South will also serve as title sponsor of the event's primary pro-am event on Wednesday of tournament week. The Cellular South Pro-Am will be played Wednesday, June 10.

As part of Cellular South's official wireless sponsorship, the company is also announcing the Eagles for St. Jude's donation program. Cellular South will donate $1,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for every Eagle made during the tournament.

While cell phones are not permitted on the TPC Southwind grounds during the tournament, Cellular South will have two Discover Centers available for golf fans to place free wireless calls on the latest smart phones and handsets, check e-mails, and walk away with giveaways. Visitors to the Discover Centers will also be able to learn about the latest wireless applications, devices and plans that are available to Memphis area residents and businesses.
Cellular South joins FedEx, Brooks Brothers, Coca-Cola, ServiceMaster, Smith & Nephew and Gosling's as official partners of the St. Jude Classic.
Justin Leonard will attempt to defend his title against a field scheduled to include World Golf Ranking Top 10 players Henrik Stenson, Padraig Harrington and Camilo Villegas. In addition, local favorites Shaun Micheel, Loren Roberts and Casey Wittenberg have committed to compete in the St. Jude Classic to be played June 8-14 at TPC Southwind.
