(Dec. 9, 2009) – Cellular South, the nation's largest privately-held wireless provider, announced today the expansion of its third-generation (3G) high-speed wireless mobile broadband services to consumer and business customers in Carroll County, specifically serving the residents of Vaiden. The company's 3G network expansion is a multi-million dollar investment that will make 3G accessible to 80 percent of Mississippians.

The introduction of Cellular South's 3G network in Vaiden is part of the company's aggressive statewide expansion of 166 new 3G cell sites in more than 39 counties throughout Mississippi. As a result, Cellular South customers in Vaiden will experience faster uploads and downloads when connecting to the Internet and gain access to new mobile high-speed data services, including mobile video telephony, high-quality music and other multimedia applications.
